The Society was formed in 1992, in the USA, to promote the collection, study, and sales of Hong Kong stamps, covers, and other philatelic items. More than 800 members from over 30 countries have joined.

 MEMBERSHIP
All Hong Kong stamp collectors are invited to join. For a Membership Application and information, please write to the Secretary, Dr. A. M. Chung, 3300 Darby Road, Cottage 503, Haverford, PA 19041-1064, U.S.A.

Annual membership dues:    USA - US$10         Canada - US$15         Other Countries - US$20

UK members can pay by personal cheque in equivalent Pounds direct to Mr Kennard.
Canadian members please pay by International Money Order or cash.
If paying by cheque it must be drawn on a US bank and payable to "Hong Kong Stamp Society".

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
All paid members will:

              1. Receive four quarterly published Bulletins.
              2. Be permitted to participate in the mail bid sales (Buy and Sell) which are for members only.
              3. Be provided with Chinese-English Translation Service at a minimum fee or no fee.
              4. Be able to communicate with the Society in Chinese or English.
              5. Be able to publish your articles, discoveries, news, ideas and philatelic inquiries etc., in the
                  Bulletin if space is available and is approved by the Society.
              6. Obtain valuable information from the Bulletin.

LIBRARY
Some major Hong Kong philatelic reference literature is available for members.

EXPERTIZING SERVICE
The Expert Commitee of the Society consists of highly qualified philatelists. The Society issues certificates for Hong Kong philatelic items with discounts for members. Free identification is also available for members.

MAIL SALE
A mail bid sale is always attached to the back of each Bulletin with about 200 lots of Hong Kong stamps, covers, and literature. All lots are consigned by members and purchased by other members. The minimum estimate of each lot is $20 and the minimum bid is 50% of estimate. Sale commission is 10% for sellers and 5% for buyers.  

PUBLICATIONS
Besides the quarterly publication of the Society Bulletin: Hong Kong Philatelist, the Society also publishes literature almost every year. Click here for a list of publications.
